The UNO RECREATION & FITNESS CENTER has 87,000 square feet of space dedicated to a variety of fitness and recreational activities.

This full-service, state of the art center offers the latest equipment and technology in a convenient location.

In addition, the RECREATION & FITNESS CENTER has won several architectural awards.

Features:

  • An expansive 17,000 square feet dedicated to cardiovascular, selectorized plate-loaded and free weight equipment
  • State of the art cardio equipment including treadmills, upright and recumbent bicycles, rowing machines, elliptical cross-trainers and more
  • Various types of selectorized (strength), free-weight and plate-loaded equipment targeting all areas of the body
  • Cardio-theater available on eleven televisions located throughout the fitness area (personal headphones required)
  • 1/10 mile Dr. Richard J. Stillman indoor jogging/walking track overlooking Lake Pontchartrain
  • Spacious locker rooms housing 2 dry saunas
  • 2 racquetball courts with glass backed walls and hardwood floors (**Currently used for Table Tennis**)
  • 3 Basketball Courts with volleyball, badminton, and table tennis equipment set up upon request (**Currently Unavailable**)
  • Natatorium, featuring a 25 yard / 4 lane lap pool, which may be used for lap and recreational swimming as well as for water aerobics
  • Pool adjacent outdoor deck with lounge chairs
  • Punching bags
  • Snack bar
